Richard WrightSecurity Education Programme and Information Assurance & Accreditation Team NCA
Richard has operated in the information security field for the last seven years, working within a number of diverse and challenging environments.
Before that he was a highly experienced trainer across a broad range of operational training courses. Richard now leads the NCA’s security education programme, his ideal job of combining both disciplines to support the NCA’s mission to protect the UK from the hard caused by serious and organised crime.
He is passionate about the importance of educating officials, so they become the organisation’s most important security control, rather than being seen as the weakest link that must be designed out by onerous technical controls. He has designed and delivered many interesting training and eLearning courses over the years and has just created an innovative security education strategy that focuses on behavioural and long-term cultural change. Richard is a qualified IA professional and trainer.
