Virtual Cheese and Wine Tasting

15th July 2020
Registration closed

Replicating our physical events to the closest degree, RANT will be shipping Cheese and Wine Hampers to all confirmed delegates to be enjoyed alongside an educational and engaging discussion, conducted online by influential members of the cybersecurity community.

The event acts as a platform to openly discuss the current challenges faced by the attendees helping them coalesce around solutions.

The world changed: How will you?

We are encouraging cyber professionals to take an hour to pull their head out of the trenches, grab a glass of wine and some cheese and reflect with their contemporaries about how they are approaching important strategic issues in the new world:

– Incident response / crisis planning when no-one is in the office

– Managing your team remotely while still developing skills / providing career progression

– Communicating with the board while remote

– How has your defensive posture changed from a strategic point of view and how will this effect the countermeasures you will deploy?

The RANT Roundtable Dinner was a very good evening. I met some interesting people and there was some lively discussion on various topics. I’d also like to mention some positive engagement that came about after last year’s Infosec Rant. Thanks to a very topical discussion at RANT on Neurodiversity, I was introduced to a group of neuro diverse students studying Information Security in Worcester, who joined me on a Pentesting project within my organisation. This project provided them with exceptional work experience and allowed us all to learn from each other. This successful project will hopefully be run again this year, and is all thanks to a conversation held at a Rant event.
