James MulhernCISO Eduserv
James Mulhern (CISSP) is Chief Information Security Officer for Eduserv, responsible for Networks, Security and Information Assurance across the company. James graduated from University of Wales Aberystwyth with a BSc (Hons) in 1992 and went on to gain an MSc in Computer Science.
After IT roles at the University of Wales and University of Bath where he was responsible for projects in access control and the roll out of ATM networks, James joined Eduserv in 1997. He has undertaken a number of management roles in research and development, operations, networks and security.
He has been involved in the implementation and management of many high-profile projects for Eduserv’s key clients. Including the National Assembly for Wales, the Department for Education, the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, JISC, the Cabinet Office and the Metropolitan Police Service.
As Chief Information Security Officer James has been responsible for the Eduserv pan-government accredited (PGA) Secure Cloud Compute Platform and implementation of other key infrastructure, including purpose built data centres and other related accreditations.
